The funeral service for Mrs. Ruth M. Thrush, 69, of 2203 W. Starr St., co-owner of the Yale Hotel and the former Arion Hotel until 1955, will be at 1 PM Friday at the Endsley & Son Funeral Home, 1417 S. Stanley Street.  Burial will be in Smithville Cemetery.  The Rev. Scot Huson, Howett Street Christian Church, will officiate.  Friends may call from 4-9 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Thrush died at 6:55 AM Tuesday at Proctor Hospital where she had been a patient for three days.  She had owned and operated the two hotels for 18 years with her husband, Frank, whom she married in Peoria in 1921.  The Yale Hotel is located at 332 S.W. Jefferson Ave., while the Arion, which was destroyed by fire in 1959 was at 110 W. 1st Avenue.  Mrs. Thrush was born July 19, 1891, at Bushnell, the daughter of Thomas and Rose Howell Markman.  A member of the FUB Church of Astoria, she also was a member of the Acacia Chapter OES, and she formerly was a member of the VFW Post 2602 Auxiliary, Peoria Heights.

Surviving is her husband Frank, two sons, Thomas Bair of Peoria, and Frank Thrush Jr, of Peoria, a daughter Mrs. Kathyrn Schmidt, Wood River, IL, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.  Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
