Verl Edna Thrush, 90, of Louisa passed away at her home on Saturday, August 13, 2011. She was born November 8, 1920, in Forrest, Illinois to the late W. Edward and C. Ella Bollier Metz. Mrs. Thrush was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Louisa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. Thrush, and her brother, Vern Metz of Bloomington, Illinois.
Mrs. Thrush is survived by her daughter, Joan E. Curtis, and her husband Carroll Top of Boyds, Maryland; her grandchildren, Kim E. Butler of Louisa, and Richard P. Wilz and his wife Heather of Charlotte, North Carolina. She also leaves behind two great-grandchildren, George and Rebecca Wilz.
She will be laid to rest at Culpeper National Cemetery alongside her husband Paul at a later date.
Verl was an angel on earth, and now she has gone to heaven to be an angel with God. Her family and friends will miss her dearly
